Empowering Burundian Communities Through Capacity Building

We are proud to announce that Burundian Bridge has been selected as a recipient of the Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (SBCCI) Fund! This funding will allow us to strengthen our capacity-building efforts, enhance our operations, and expand support for Burundian and Black-led organizations across Canada.

Through this initiative, Burundian Bridge will provide essential training, governance support, and operational resources to help Black-led organizations become more sustainable, resilient, and impactful.

Why This Funding Matters

The SBCCI Fund, launched by the Government of Canada, is dedicated to investing in Black-led non-profits and charities, ensuring they have the necessary tools to thrive, grow, and serve their communities more effectively.

With this support, Burundian Bridge will:

Enhance leadership and governance training for Black-led organizations.
Develop strategic tools and resources to improve operational efficiency.
Support digital transformation to help organizations scale and adapt to changing needs.
Strengthen collaboration and knowledge-sharing within Black communities.

What’s Next?

Over the coming months, we will be rolling out training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to equip Black-led organizations with the skills and knowledge they need to grow. Our goal is to ensure long-term sustainability for community organizations and create a lasting impact in the Black Canadian ecosystem.

We are incredibly grateful to the Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative for recognizing our work and investing in our vision for strong, self-sustaining Black organizations.
